[E05] National dissemination program for cities and local Authorities

Local pioneers in renovation policies will share and exchange their experiences, project results get mainstreamed and best practices find common ground to upscale in this part of learning network.

Aims

To make sure that cities and local authorities are fully prepared and dispose of all necessary components to lay out a cluster of measures that will change the local housing sector and its climate impact in a definite and sustainable way, it’s fundamental that local pioneers in renovation policies can share and exchange their experiences in a new network, project results get mainstreamed and best practices find common ground to upscale.

Design and run a dissemination program in order to:

  1. ensure that local authorities take up an important role in the communication and dissemination strategy of BE-REEL!.
  2. embed BE-REEL! in the long term strategy for climate neutrality and the sustainable energy action plans (SEAP’s) of the Covenant of Mayors Signatories.
  3. guarantee consistency of BE-REEL! with regard to all local policies.

VVSG will work this out in collaboration with the Union of Cities and Municipalities

Attention will be paid to the collateral benefits of the BE REEL! approach in terms of environmental, economic and social impact.

Tasks

  1. Launching of a BE-REEL! National network
  2. Design and run a dissemination program in order to:
  3. Organising Masterclasses: 12 full day sessions, bi-monthly organized
  4. Manual/Guideline:  Tri-lingual publication lessons learned through BE-REEL!
  5. Present the project results in international events 
  6. Final conference (2024)

Expected results

  1. Cities and local authorities are fully prepared and dispose of all necessary components to lay out a cluster of measures that will change the local housing sector and its climate impact in a definite and sustainable way.
  2. The launch of the BE-REEL! National network of September 2019 will be attended by approximately 100-120 persons.
  3. The meet-up national network of September 2019 will be attended by approximately 60-80 persons.
  4. Each of the 6 sessions of the masterclass 1.0 in 2020 will be attended by 30-40 persons.
  5. The meet-up national network of September 2020 will be attended by approximately 60-80 persons.
  6. The meet-up national network of September 2021 will be attended by approximately 60-80 persons.
  7.  Each of the 6 sessions of the masterclass 2.0 in 2022 will be attended by approximately 30-40 persons.
  8. The meet-up national network of September 2022 will be attended by approximately 60-80 persons.
  9. The Manual/Guideline of 2023/2024 will count 500 copies.
  10. Each of the 5 international events at January-December 2023/2024 will be attended by approximately 30-40 persons.
  11. The final conference of September 2024 will be attended by approximately 100-120 persons.
